Update: Senate Bill 2360 was vetoed and then overrode by the Senate. 

Senate Bill 2360 would prohibits the display of sexually explicit material in places where minors are allowed and criminalize those who violate the law.

The ACLU of North Dakota opposes Senate Bill 2360. Ideas are powerful. That’s why intellectual freedom is protected by the First Amendments. Banning books is censorship and it restricts intellectual freedom. 

All young people have a First Amendment right to learn free from censorship or discrimination.
